Climbing Range
Climbing Shoes.
Founded on three strong concepts - symmetric shape, plunging or flat design, and upper materials with specific characteristics - Millet's climbing shoes range fully caters for all modern climbing disciplines.

Bouldering, overhangs on natural cliffs or indoor walls, major technically demanding routes and conventional rock races are all worlds apart, where the shoes' technical capability is key to achieving your objective.

To choose the right shoe, you must take account of several parameters.
First, your foot shape: if your second toe is longest (the case for about 50% of people), prefer a symmetric toe box; if your big toe is longest; opt for an asymmetri toe box.

Next, shoe shape: should you choose a plunging form or not? This depends on your level; plunging optimises push-off and helps generate maximum foot power, but requires impressive foor musclature; a flat form is more natural and so less diconcerting, but is less effective for thin-edge push-ups.

Finally, the material issue: Australian leather is very strong and stretches little; split leather is reputed to be rugged and durable; while the Chamude microfibre, a Millet exclusive, is light, breathable and stretches slightly.

Expedition/Mountaineering Range
Mountaineering boots.
Designed with protection, precision and comfort in mind, moutaineering boots are defined by their compatiability with all crampons. Today there are four types of mountaineering boots, each very different in the specifics, which are dictated by their applications.
  • expedition boots, giving the thermal performance essential at high altitudes
  • "classic" mountain boots combining year-round versatility, thermal quality, comfort and precision
  • mixed technical boots for extreme placement precision, whether for icefalls or dry-tooling
  • summer rock mountaineering boots, whose styling and technical spec are similar to those of climbing shoes
Crampon selection must always match your actvity, and although all models are crampon-compatiable, the attachment systems remain more specific to sertain types of boot.

Multi Active Range
Boots for trekking, hiking and other outdoor uses.
Designed to meet two decisive criteria - foot roll and walking comfort - our trekking and outdoor boots have distinctly high or low-cut uppers. The high uppers protect and secure the ankles on steep mountain walks, while the light low-cut uppers free the feet for sporting activities such as biking, via ferrata, approach walking and family ramble. the materials used in this range offer al the characteristics essential for outdoor activities: waterproofness, breathability and optimal comfort - no matter how long you're on the move.
